A Family Portrait

Once Upon a time, in the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Oahu...

My family in Oahu

If you are like me, finding the perfect gift for your husband its one of the most difficult tasks ever! So after thinking and thinking, this year I decided to make our family portrait in one of our favorite places in the world, Ko'Olina, Oahu.

He was soooo surprised and happy that all the hours invested in it are more than worth it! =)

My source of inspiration =)

I guess I will be doing more portraits this year! It makes a wonderful gift and a fun way to preserve memories!

Cheers!

2011 will be a Honeysuckle Rose year!

Hi everybody! ...as a designer I adore Pantone, and I use their color charts when designing and creating everything... even to decorate my house! =) ...today I read that their color for 2011 is Honeysuckle Rose! And I couldnt agree more with their Executive Director when she says that “In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits"

At Clay Cat Shop we LOVE Honeysuckle Rose!!! Our cat is wearing it... and I must confess that I wear it quite a bit too! =) So, I went on Etsy and created a treasure with my favorite items in that color spectrum... so here it is, my wish list of Honeysuckle rose etsy's handmade items! <3

A great idea for a unique & personal Teacher's gift

Are you looking for something unique & personal to give to your kid's teachers this year? this could be it. The best part is that you can engage your children in this activity! They will LOVE the time together and feel extra proud of the present!

Three simple steps: 1) Buy polymer clay at any craft store. 2) Make either holiday faces like the ones below or anything you and your child come up with. 3) Use tins or pails to fill with chocolates or anything that you want to give and voila! you have a cute, personal present.

Happy Creative Holidays!  =)

Little polymer clay faces and figures work great!

Attach them to the tins or pails and fill with the with goodies!

Wrap them, add a tag and you have got yourself a great gift!

Happy Creative Holidays! =)
